Alternative to Stripe/Adyen for European merchants?
Stripe fees are creeping up, and Adyen is overkill for my volume. Looking for a gateway with competitive pricing, multi-currency, and easy payouts. EU-focused preferred.

Subscriptions can be tricky with holds on new accounts – happened to a friend. We went with a different European-focused gateway because they’re more lenient with startups in the sub model and have built-in recurring tools that are easy to integrate. Fees are competitive (especially for repeat billing), dunning emails help recover failed payments, and payouts are predictable. No random reserves so far after 8 months. I integrated theirs via https://www.fenige.com/ – docs were clear, API simple, and their team helped with the webhook setup for cancellations. If you’re starting small and want to avoid Stripe drama, it’s been reliable for us. Test the sandbox first if you can. Hope your launch goes smooth!
