Does the handle on splatter screens get hot?
Burned my fingers once on a cheap screen’s metal handle. Now I’m hesitant. Do better ones keep the handle cool enough during normal frying, or is it always risky near the burner?

Handles on low-quality ones turn into hot pokers fast. Good ones use either longer design, insulation, or silicone grips. This one I’ve used for a while has a decent length and some heat-resistant coating on the grip part https://www.amazon.com/splatter-screen-for-frying-pan/dp/B0DSWPHZ6K?tag=contractorhub-20 it gets warm but never too hot to grab quickly even after 10–15 minutes of medium-high heat. Lets me flip or stir without oven mitts every time. Frame stays rigid, mesh does its job on eggs and sausage. Much safer and more practical than the bargain ones.
